Do you buy cars that don't run?
Yes. Most of what we buy does not start. Let us know if the car rolls and steers, or if a wheel is missing or locked up, so we send the right truck the first time.
Is towing really free?
On most accepted vehicles in Vancouver, yes. Low-clearance underground parkades, cars blocked in by other vehicles, and cars missing wheels can change that. We will tell you before we book, not when the truck shows up.
How do I get paid?
We pay you on the spot by cash or e-Transfer once the car is loaded. The price we agree on the phone is the price you get, as long as the car matches what you described.
What paperwork do I need to sell my car in BC?
You need to show the car is yours to sell. That usually means the vehicle registration in your name plus government photo ID. If the car is registered to someone else, or is part of an estate, call us first at 236-201-8504 and we will tell you what will work. I lost my registration. Can I still sell the car?
Usually, yes. The registered owner can get a replacement copy of the registration from any Autoplan broker. Call us first and we will tell you exactly what we need for your situation.
Can I sell a car that ICBC wrote off?
ICBC usually keeps a total loss, but if the claim was settled and the vehicle stayed with you, it is yours to sell. Text photos of the damage to 236-201-8504 and we will price it.
Can I sell a car that still has a loan on it?
Not until the loan is paid out, because the lender's lien stays with the car. If you are close to paying it off, call us and we can work out the timing together.
Do I need to remove my plates and cancel insurance?
Yes. Take your licence plates off before the truck loads the car, then cancel or transfer your insurance through your Autoplan broker once it is gone. Clear out the glovebox, trunk, and under the seats too, because we cannot get items back once the car leaves.
Can I get same-day car removal?
Same-day car removal is often available when a truck is open. Call early in the day at 236-201-8504 to check pickup times, since afternoon slots fill up first.
Do you sell used parts?
No. East Van Auto Recyclers buys and removes whole vehicles only. We do not sell used parts, engines, transmissions, or tires, and we do not have a parts counter or a U-pull yard.

No. We do not do boosts, lockouts, tire changes, or tows from one address to another. We only tow vehicles we have bought.
