Free towing on most cars. Cash or e-Transfer on the spot.
North of Broadway, the cars we buy are often older: a sedan that has sat behind a Grandview character house since its owner stopped driving, or a work van retired by a shop off Clark Drive. You get a number before anything is booked, the tow is free on most of them, and you're paid when the car is on the deck.
We only buy vehicles. No used parts, no boosts or roadside help.
Older houses, busy streets and working yards. Each one is a slightly different job.
Narrow lots, lane garages and cars that have sat behind the house for years.
Tight street parking and permit zones. We pick a time that keeps the street clear.
Underground stalls and shared lots. Tell us the clearance if it is posted.
Retired work trucks and vans from businesses near the port and along Clark Drive.
Driveways and carports from Nanaimo Street east toward the PNE area.
If a car was left behind and is not in your name, call first so we can sort out who can sell it.
Parking, catalytic converters and company paperwork come up more north of Broadway than anywhere else we work.
A lot of Grandview runs on permit parking, and Commercial Drive has short limits, so a dead car on the street picks up tickets quickly. If it's uninsured, the City doesn't allow it on the street or in the lane at all. Tell us which side of the street it's on and we'll book a time when the truck can pull in without blocking anyone.
Converter theft has hit East Van hard, so here's how we handle it. We only price a converter as part of a whole car, and we never buy one that has been cut off. BC's metal dealer rules have covered loose converters since 2022. If yours was stolen, the car still has value. Tell us when you ask for a price and we'll quote it as it sits.
If the vehicle is registered to a business, whoever signs needs the authority to sell for that company. Have the registration in the company's name and ID for the person signing. Our post on company vehicle paperwork walks through who can sign.
After the truck leaves, the car goes for recycling, not to a lot down the road. It's drained of fluids, the battery and tires go to their own recycling streams, any parts worth reusing come off, and the body is crushed and sent to a shredder.
No flat rate. These are the things that move the price up or down.
Most of a scrap car's value is metal. Trucks and vans outweigh small cars.
The original converter is one of the biggest pieces of the price. Let us know if it is still on.
A car with its engine, transmission and wheels pays more than a shell.

Yes. Grandview-Woodland, from Commercial Drive over to Nanaimo Street, is part of our regular area, along with Hastings-Sunrise and Renfrew Heights.
Yes. Pickups and cargo vans from small shops and yards are common jobs for us. Tell us about the yard access and whether the vehicle rolls.
Weight, the original catalytic converter still being on it, and how complete it is. A heavy truck that is all there is worth more than a stripped small car.
No. We buy and remove whole vehicles only. We do not sell used parts and there is no parts counter.
Yes. It changes the price, so tell us when you ask for a quote. We don't buy loose converters.
